To continue the growth from the Indian market, Destination DC, the tourism promotion organisation of the US capital city, will remain focussed on the Indian market and has had a significant engagement at the ongoing IPW 2025, the largest inbound travel trade show of the US, that is currently going on in Chicago.

Leading the delegation of Destination DC at IPW 2025 is Elliott L Ferguson, II, President and CEO, DDC, who says that his focus would be to continue to making it easier for Indian visitors to come to the US and to Washington DC, including by improving connectivity to the Indian market.

“Our goal is to continue to remain very much so involved within the market, in a perfect world, we would see opportunities for non-stop flights to the East Coast by US carriers because we are hampered by that right now, unfortunately, with restrictions of airspace over Russia and Pakistan. Equally important for us is to ensure that how do we continue to leverage and focus on additional visitation to the US, to Washington, DC, simply because of the growth of the market,’’ Ferguson tells India Outbound on the sidelines of IPW 2025.

At IPW 2025 Ferguson also made a comprehensive presentation about how Destination DC was seeking to leverage major sporting events and celebrations of the 250th anniversary of US Independence to drive tourism over the next few years.
