Carnival Cruise Line redeployment continues

Florida-based cruise operator, Carnival Cruise Line, has announced revised plans for its cruises for the next two years. The cruise liner had earlier announced some changes in the ship deployments as well as homeport assignments for its 25 ships that operate cruises from durations varying from 2 days to 17 days and departing from every coast in the United States. Best known for its Caribbean cruises, Carnival Cruise Line also sails to other destinations like Mexico, Alaska, The Bahamas, Europe and Hawaii. In addition, Carnival Cruise Line Australia has two ships, and offers cruises from Sydney and Brisbane to New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. As per its revised programme, Carnival Elation whose homeport is being moved to Jacksonville in Florida will service the 4-5 day sailings previously assigned to Carnival Ecstasy. It will soon have new sailings assigned as well. Meanwhile, another ship, Carnival Freedom which has been redeployed to Port Canavera, also in Florida, will replace Carnival Elation, and i twill operate 4-5 days itineraries from Port Canaveral. After completing its recently announced summer 2022 season in Alaska, Carnival Spirit will continue to operate 6- and 8-day cruises previously assigned to Carnival Freedom from Miami. Following the completion of its Caribbean itineraries from Miami, Carnival Spirit will sail a Panama Canal Journeys cruise on April 16, 2023, arriving in Seattle, and will then operate a series of Alaska cruises from May 2, 2023 through September 12, 2023, with those itineraries to be open for sale soon. The company says while it completes the swap of existing reservations to the new ship assignments and provides equivalent accommodations, the itineraries will remain closed for sale, and reservations will not be accessible for up to three weeks. Once the process has been completed, an email confirmation will be sent to guests, or to travel advisors, and the new reservation will be available. New ship assignments and itineraries will also open for sale at that time.
