Castaway Island, a premier beach destination that is part of the Outrigger Resorts & Hotels has announced the opening of its much-anticipated water park. In a press statement, the hotel says that the new attraction is designed to enhance the visitors’ experience, offering a range of exhilarating activities and features that promise fun and adventure for visitors.

The statement adds that strategically located past Monkey Rock on the scenic North Beach, the new Water Park is a standout feature of Outrigger Resorts’ 2024 ‘Elevate’ initiative. It says that customers can look forward to an assortment of exciting attractions including a trampoline, water slide, swing, tower and more. “These elements are meticulously designed to ignite joy and excitement for visitors of all ages. Prior to the grand opening, children from Malolo District School were invited to enjoy the park, with their enthusiastic reactions reflecting boundless fun awaiting future guests,’’ reads the statement.

The hotel says that the grand opening celebration was marked by a special ceremony attended by esteemed guests, including the Taukei Nalotu and traditional owner of Qalito Island, Ratu Joisaia Qauqau, representatives of the local community and the staff of Castaway Island, Fiji.

“Today marks a truly special occasion for all of us here at Castaway Island, Fiji as we gather to celebrate the grand opening of our new Water Park. It gives me great pleasure to extend a warm welcome to our local Chief Ratu Joisaia Qauqau, the traditional landowners of Qalito Island and our valued representatives of the local community and traditional owners of the waters surrounding the Mamanuca Islands,” says Steven Andrews, General Manager of Castaway Island, Fiji.

“Our dedication to elevating guest experiences is exemplified by this new water park. We continuously strive to provide unforgettable moments for our guests, ensuring that every visit to Castaway is filled with joy and adventure,’’ he adds.

According to the statement, the water park is open daily from 09:30 to 16:30 and offers flexible and affordable pricing options. In-house guests can enjoy the park for FJD 20 for 1 hour or FJD 35 for two hours. Day trippers can dive into the fun for FJD 30 per hour. Customers will be transported between the resort and the water park via a dedicated transfer boat. The water park is open to persons aged eight and above.
