The property blends Prague’s rich cultural heritage with modern luxury and comes with 161 rooms and suites including its Wow Bohemia Duplex
Marking the brand’s entry into the Czech Republic, W Hotels, part of luxury hospitality firm Marriott, has unveiled W Prague, after extensive renovation of the iconic Grand Hotel Evropa on Wenceslas Square in central Prague, capital of the Czech Republic.
In a press statement, W Prague says that the property blends Prague’s rich cultural heritage with modern luxury and comes with 161 rooms and suites including its Wow Bohemia Duplex, as well as other amenities like W Lounge, and Above Rooftop bar with panoramic city views.
It adds that the hotel provides a modern, refined setting for the next generation of luxury travellers and that architects Benoy and AvroKO’s London Studio, along with local designers Chapman Taylor, have reworked the landmark, drawing from Prague’s culture and the building’s Art Nouveau style. It adds that, alongside the restoration, a 9-story elliptical wing has been added, creating a contrast between old and new.
The hotel says that the new property has art and glass installations curated by Adam Ellis Studio and local artists, including wall art at Bisou and a garden mural by Michael Škapa.
It adds that the hotel also has the Above Rooftop, a seasonal outdoor terrace offering drinks, food, and music. Minus One, located in the basement, features a cocktail scene curated by Jan Šebek, a performance and lounge venue.
