American hospitality giant Marriot International has signed an agreement with a Serbian real estate development company Danube Riverside Beograd, to set up a Ritz-Carlton in Serbian capital Belgrade, marking a debut of the Ritz Carlton brand in Serbia.
In a press statement, Marriott says that the new hotel will open to customers in in 2027. It adds that the upcoming property is expected to feature 193 guestrooms and suites along with Ritz-Carlton Club experience and two distinct dining venues. The statement adds that plans also boast a range of facilities including an indoor swimming pool, fitness centre and spa, along with meetings and events space of more than 1,700 sqm.
The hotel will be located at the Nikola Tesla Boulevard, right on the Danube River, and in close proximity to government institutions and the business district, providing convenient access to Stark Arena, Sava congress centre and Belgrade’s old town.
