In an effort to boost its presence in the Nordic countries, Radisson Hotel Group has announced the signing of four new conversion properties, and 519 rooms, in the picturesque city of Bergen, Norway, as part of its ongoing partnership with Magic Norway AS.

In a press statement, Radisson says that two of the properties will be Radisson Individuals hotels and the other two will be under the Group’s Prize by Radisson brand. All four properties have strategic locations and are set to open in the coming months.

The statement adds that with these new signings, the first Radisson Individuals and Prize by Radisson hotels are introduced to the Nordics. This strategic expansion reinforces Radisson Hotel Group’s commitment to providing world-class accommodations in renowned destinations and expands the Group’s portfolio to five properties in Bergen.

The hospitality group says that nestled between majestic mountains and shimmering fjords, Bergen is a UNESCO World Heritage city renowned for its rich history, vibrant culture, and natural beauty. From the iconic Bryggen, the old wharf of Bergen, to the scenic Fløibanen, a funicular railway that connects the city centre with Fløyen, one of the seven city mountains from which visitors can enjoy magnificent views, Bergen offers travellers an unparalleled mix of historical charm and modern allure. It is a destination where the outdoors and urban sophistication blend seamlessly, making it the perfect location for Radisson Hotel Group to expand its presence.

“We are thrilled to announce these additions to our portfolio in Norway, marking a relevant milestone in our journey in the Nordics. We look forward to a fruitful collaboration with Magic Norway AS and are grateful for their trust in our brands. These new signings represent our relentless dedication to providing exciting opportunities and possibilities to our guests and owners,” says Elie Younes, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Development Officer, Radisson Hotel Group.

The statement adds that Radisson Individuals is a brand that allows hotel properties to maintain and promote their unique characteristics and personalities, whilst meeting the high standards of quality and service that guests have come to expect from Radisson Hotel Group.

Magic Kloverhuset Harbour Hotel, a member of Radisson Individuals, has 157 keys, with a combination of 137 rooms and 20 apartments, an a la carte restaurant with a wine and cocktail bar and a rooftop with a terrace bar. The hotel has central positioning in Bergen, situated at the famous Strandkaien street, directly next to the harbour, the fish market and the express boats to the Fjords.

Magic Hotel Bergen City Centre, a member of Radisson Individuals with 90 rooms, a cosy bar and restaurant area, is located only 100 metres from the harbour, and the World Heritage site Bryggen. Both hotels provide excellent access to shopping areas, restaurants, and public transport, in addition to Bergen’s main attractions. The locations are major tourist destinations thanks to the city’s natural beauty and cultural heritage, and it attracts both domestic and international tourists, especially in summer.

According to the hospitality group, Prize by Radisson properties offer a lifestyle midscale experience with a unique personality, at the investment cost of an economy hotel. The compelling design proposition brand is suitable for new-builds and conversions with high GOP margins of over 50 pc and a lean operating model.

Prize by Radisson, Solheimsviken Bergen, with 217 keys, offers scenic views and proximity to various dining and entertainment options. The hotel will open under the Prize by Radisson brand later this year. The property is located very close to the primary business districts and only 2 km from the heart of the city.
