Jetwing Hotels, a Sri Lankan hotel chain, in a press statement has recently announced the opening of Jetwing Wahawa Walauwa, an all-suite boutique villa.
The statement adds, the villa is located in Rambukkana and it was originally built in the 1870s and was once a residence of the local aristocracy, known as a walauwa or ‘large house’.
The hotel chain says that Jetwing Wahawa Walauwa has been restored to preserve its architectural splendor while incorporating contemporary amenities and the villa features six suites, each adorned with traditional Sri Lankan craftsmanship and modern comforts such as four-poster beds and luxurious bathtubs.
The statement adds guests are treated to a seamless experience with the assistance of a dedicated personal butler and the villa’s entrance, furniture, intricate woodwork, and art evoke the artistry of a bygone era, making it a true testament to Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage.
The hotel chain adds dining at Jetwing Wahawa Walauwa is a culinary journey, with guests able to enjoy gourmet meals in the elegant open-style dining hall or the privacy of their suite.
