“We are thrilled and honoured to collaborate with Nha Trang Bay on their first hotel project. We have a joint aim of introducing travellers to stunning new destinations in Vietnam and voco Scenia Bay Nha Trang by IHG is a fantastic addition to IHG’s portfolio in this beautiful coastal city. Voco hotels is IHG’s fastest growing premium brand, and is quickly growing in popularity with leisure and business guests in the country thanks to the successful market debut of voco with Voco Ma Belle Danang by IHG and the recent opening of the world’s first resort under the brand, Voco Quang Binh Resort by IHG. We look forward to welcoming guests this year end,” says Dinh Trong Khoa, Director, Development, South East Asia, Korea.

It adds that the hotel will be part of Nha Trang Bay’s largest real estate development and will be positioned within a wider tourism masterplan. It will be located near attractions including Ponagar Temple, Vinh Hai Market, and local marinas.

As per statement, IHG says that the new hotel will be company’s fourth in the region, alongside InterContinental Nha Trang, InterContinental Residences Nha Trang, and Six Senses Ninh Van Bay. The company currently operates 20 hotels in Vietnam across eight brands, with 22 more in the pipeline.

“Travel and tourism is a major industry in Vietnam and it is showing strong consistent growth, as shown by the six million international tourists who visited the country in quarter one this year, the highest-ever quarterly figure. This makes it a great moment to introduce new destinations for travellers to explore and visit outside of gateway cities, just as we are doing with Voco Scenia Bay Nha Trang. The Voco hotels brand, with its warm and welcoming identity, perfectly aligns with our vision for this outstanding property. IHG has a strong track record in supporting second and third tier destinations through fast-track conversions and market-leading experiences. Coupled with its global reputation, we are looking forward to a successful collaboration through which we’ll attract more international tourists to Nha Trang,” says Tran Duc Long, General Director, Nha Trang Bay.
