‘Friends’ experience to debut at MGM Grand Las Vegas

As a part of the year-long 30th anniversary celebrations of popular television serial ‘Friends’, iconic resort MGM Grand Las Vegas is set to introduce "the One in Vegas" experience for visitors where they can partake in a recreated world of the popular show’s iconic moments and be part of the characters and their stories.

MGM Grand Las Vegas, a leading hotel and casino in Las Vegas Strip is set to debut a new experience based on popular television show, Friends that allows fans to explore the show’s iconic moments, behind-the-scenes content and photo opportunities within life-sized set recreations.

Popular American television series Friends was first aired on TV on September 22, 1994, and has since continued to enthrall generations till today.

According to a press statement by the resort, in ‘the One in Vegas’ experience, fans can become part of the show and its legendary characters Ross and Rachel’s iconic Las Vegas wedding scene bursting out into the chapel’s lobby, kick back in Monica’s apartment or even dance around the legendary fountain featured in the opening credits.

MGM says that this experience will be curated by production companies Warner Bros Discovery Global Themed Entertainment, Original X Productions (OGX) and Warner Bros Television Group to transport guests into the world of Friends.

It adds that the new experience will debut as part of the show’s year-long celebration of its 30th anniversary, which will take place in the wake of the success of ‘Friends Experience’ in more than 24 global cities and eight countries, including active locations in Boston and the first-ever flagship in New York City, as well as the recently announced London flagship opening later this summer.

“Las Vegas is the perfect destination to debut the second US flagship location of the ‘Friends Experience’. Not only does the city attract millions of Friends fans every year, but Las Vegas plays an integral role in the series featuring some of the show’s most iconic and hilarious moments. The statement adds that the fans can also get a peek behind-the-scenes and learn about the show’s production, costume design and more. An onsite Friends retail store featuring exclusive products will also be open at MGM Grand to both ticketed and non-ticketed guests, the resort says.
