Al Khoory Hotels, part of the Al Khoory Group’s hospitality division, has celebrated the first anniversary of its flagship hotel, the Al Khoory Sky Garden Hotel, which opened its door to its first guest in October 2021, against a backdrop of significant milestones.

According to a press statement the Al Khoory Sky Garden Hotel is located under 5 km from Dubai International Airport (DXB), adding that the plot of land the hotel sits on was where the Al Khoory Group first started its operations 50 years ago. The statement adds that back then the area was a major trading hub where wooden merchant boats transported goods to and from India’s economic gateway Mumbai, Pakistan’s Port of Karachi, and other harbours in the GCC. Today, the boats continue to ferry goods from Dubai Creek.

“This area holds a great deal of sentimental value and emotional attachment as it was the plot of land where my father established the family business over half a century ago. Although times have changed, our commitment to the UAE remains resolute, and we look forward to the next 50 years of delivering a quality tourism offering in the emirate,” says Abdullah Khoory, Vice-Chairman of Al Khoory Group.

Located just five minutes from Dubai International Airport, the hotel, which caters to both the leisure and business markets, has welcomed guests from around the world and has secured a strong following from within the Middle East, with 25 pc of all repeat business from UAE guests.

“The defining factor in our success is offering the perfect blend of comfort, convenience, and first-class customer service. The results we’ve witnessed after just a year of opening are a credit to the entire Sky Garden team, who have shown incredible professionalism and commitment. As a result, we are already welcoming back repeat visitors and scoring highly in terms of guest feedback – something we will be looking to build upon in our next year of operation. We’d like to thank all our partners for their ongoing support and role in our success,” says Firas Al Alami, General Manager of the Al Khoory Sky Garden Hotel.

The hotel includes 279 spacious rooms and suites, which have all been designed with vibrant white, green, and black colours and are accentuated with natural wood. They feature complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi and premium amenities.

The statement says that hotel guests also have access to the outdoor swimming pool, a fully-equipped gym, while separate male and female sauna, steam, massage and therapy rooms, part of Yasmine Spa, allow guests to relax and rejuvenate. The Little Bees Kids Club and games room for younger guests ensures the whole family remains entertained.

The hotel also features a range of restaurant options, including Al Baha Restaurant, inspired by the warm and rich culture of Arabia, which serves a range of hot and cold mezze, grills, manakeesh and Levantine food. In addition, Spices international all-day dining serves a multitude of international and Indian cuisines, focusing on the family. The Al Dallah Lounge and Shalal Café & Lounge are available for lighter bites and drinks throughout the day.
