This holiday season, Novotel, a French midscale hotel brand is partnering with Universal Pictures to celebrate the much-anticipated release of Wicked.
In a press statement, Novotel says that to celebrate the partnership, select Novotel hotels across Asia will offer a Wicked-inspired high tea experience.
It adds that while customers can enjoy emerald-green cocktails and mocktails inspired by the dazzling lights of the Emerald City, they can also try a Magic Elixir that channels Elphaba’s enchanting powers.
Novotel says that for a lighter twist, they can also enjoy glamorous drinks inspired by Glinda, paired with Wicked-themed bites for a playful take on traditional high tea, while also indulging in hearty treats like ‘bewitched’ beef sliders, ‘defying gravity’ creamy cottage cheese dip, and a whimsical matcha tiramisu that reimagines the classic dessert.
It adds that after two decades as a popular stage musical, Wicked, directed by Jon M Chu, will make its big-screen debut this holiday season.
It further adds that Wicked part two is scheduled to arrive in theatres on November 26, 2025.
The statement adds that guests staying at participating Novotel hotels in India, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam will be immersed in the magic of Wicked. They can follow the yellow brick road through selected lobbies and discover beautifully themed rooms adorned with vibrant pink and green hues.
It adds that families can embrace Oz-inspired enchantment by booking movie tickets and enjoying the Novotel Family Offer, where kids up to 16 stay and eat breakfast for free when sharing a family room.
The statement adds that the Wicked, the untold story of the witches of Oz, stars Emmy, Grammy and Tony winning powerhouse Cynthia Erivo as Elphaba, a young woman, misunderstood because of her unusual green skin, who has yet to discover her true power, and Grammy-winning, multi-platinum recording artist and global superstar Ariana Grande as Glinda, a popular young woman, gilded by privilege and ambition, who has yet to discover her true heart.
