In a press statement, Zambia Tourism Agency, the country’s official tourism promotion agency, has announced the postponement of the event, scheduled for June 13 to 15.
The statement adds that the event, which was set to take place at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka, will now be rescheduled for 2025.
ZTA says that the decision to postpone the expo was taken due to unforeseen circumstances. While specifics regarding the nature of these circumstances were not disclosed, the agency expressed regret for any inconvenience caused by the rescheduling.
“We sincerely apologise for any inconvenience arising from this decision,” the agency said in its statement.
ZTA assured stakeholders that the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka would remain the venue for ZATEX in 2025. However, exact dates for the event will be communicated following consultations with all stakeholders involved.
“We look forward to your cooperation and continued partnership as we embark on pre-event preparations for ZATEX to be held next year,” the statement continued.
The Zambia Tourism Expo is a private sector driven and government led initiative of the Tourism Council of Zambia to showcase the Zambian tourism industry to the domestic and regional market.
