75 golfers & 150 stakeholders from diverse backgrounds participated in the event
Ahead of its 32nd edition, slated to be held in Delhi from February 19-21, SATTE, a leading travel exhibition in Southeast Asia, recently organised the Curtain Raiser: Golf Tournament, at Qutab Golf Club in New Delhi, as a prelude to the main exhibition.
In a press statement, SATTE says that the competition simultaneously provided a platform for unique networking opportunities, setting the stage for its main event. The forum will bring together domestic and international buyers, along with professionals from the travel, tourism, and hospitality sectors. The event is scheduled to take place next month at India’s International Convention & Expo Centre in New Delhi.
The statement adds that the tournament aimed to shine a spotlight on the rapidly growing segment of golf tourism. During the event, over 75 golfers and more than 150 stakeholders from diverse industries and sectors, including diplomacy, tourism boards, airlines, and the government participated in the event.
According to the statement the event also served as a platform for establishing connections, exchanging insights, and fostering collaboration that extends beyond the travel industry.
The organisers say that many travel industry leaders praised SATTE for successfully hosting the golf tournament in India.

“We consider SATTE to be one of the most important travel fairs, especially for India and the northern region. For SATTE 2025, we will bring 60 of our partners from Malaysia to promote the country as a prime destination across India. I think SATTE is one of the best and a must-attend event. Last year, Malaysia welcomed over 1 million Indian tourists, thanks to the efforts of travel agents in India and our airline partners. Don’t forget to visit us at SATTE,” says Ahmad Johanif Mohd Ali, Director, Malaysia Tourism Promotion Board at New Delhi.

SATTE has been instrumental in helping our members, both in the outbound and inbound sectors, secure business and organise meetings. I am hopeful that these interactions will further drive business growth. I wish the team all the very best,” says Rajiv Mehra, President, IATO.

“I have been associated with SATTE for many years! It is the biggest show in India and Asia, and when this show happens, the entire world looks to it. Year by year, this show is growing. The best thing about SATTE is that it is a two-way show, catering to both inbound and outbound travellers, as this industry is a two-way industry. The event brought together people from ministries, diplomatic missions, the corporate world, airlines, and hotels, enabling the exchange of plenty of ideas,” says Rajan Sehgal, Chairman Public Relations and Member, Managing Committee, Travel Agents Association of India (TAAI).
