With 15 pc growth, Saudia ferried 35 million passengers in 2024

Saudia saw a rise in flight hours with a total of over 581,000 hours, a growth of 8.5 pc

Saudia, the national flag carrier of Saudi Arabia carried 35 million passengers, including 20 million international travellers, on scheduled and additional flights, marking a 16 pc increase from 2023.

With a 16 pc increase in passenger traffic, Saudia ended 2024 on a high note, carrying 35 million travellers, including 20 million international passengers. This growth underscores the airline’s expanding global presence and its commitment to connecting the world to Saudi Arabia, supporting the country’s Vision 2030 goals in tourism and economic development.

In a press statement Saudi Airlines says that the airline’s total passenger count for 2024 reached 35 million, a 15 pc year-on-year increase, with 193,000 scheduled and additional flights, representing a 10 pc growth over the previous year.

It adds that Saudia also saw a rise in flight hours, with a total of over 581,000 hours, a growth of 8.5 pc. On-time performance improved by 2.7 pc, reaching 89.1 pc.

The statement adds that the airline’s guest satisfaction, measured by the Net Promoter Score (NPS), has also increased by 4.5 pc, reaching 32.7 pc.

Saudia Airlines says its digital transformation led to a 40 pc increase in app usage and a 324 pc growth in digital service adoption through the Government Digital Wallet.

It adds that transit traveller numbers exceeded 9.3 million, marking an 18 pc annual growth, highlighting Saudia’s commitment to connecting the world to the Kingdom and supporting Saudi Vision 2030 goals.

It further adds that Saudia plans to expand its fleet and network, aiming to add 118 new aircraft to its current fleet of 147 as part of its long-term growth strategy.
