In a significant move to enhance connectivity between Vietnam and India, the Vietnamese flag carrier, Vietnam Airlines, has announced the launch of direct flights from Bengaluru and Hyderabad to Hanoi, to cater to the growing travel demand, offering seamless access to Vietnam’s capital and boosting tourism and trade ties.

In a press statement, Vietnam Airlines says that the new routes will commence in May, with four weekly flights from Bengaluru and three weekly flights from Hyderabad, operated by Airbus A321 aircraft.

It adds that with these additions, Vietnam Airlines will operate from four Indian cities, including Delhi and Mumbai.

Vietnam Airlines says that it aims to enhance connectivity between India and Vietnam, catering to the growing demand for travel from southern India.

It adds that the new flights will offer Indian travellers seamless access to destinations in Japan, Korea, China, Australia, and ASEAN countries.

The statement adds that according to the Google Trends, Vietnam was the most searched international destination by Indian travellers in 2023.
