Following a record summer when it ferried 48 million passengers, Chicago-based United Airlines is gearing up for its busiest winter season in company history with nearly 4,600 daily flights during peak periods.
According to a press statement by United Airlines, the upcoming winter schedule includes significant additions, such as new flights to popular destinations across the United States, including ski and sun locations.
United says its global expansion will also include inaugural routes to Marrakesh, starting October 24, making it the only US airline to connect directly to the former imperial city in western Morocco.
The airline adds that beginning October 27, it will also launch service to Cebu in Philippines, from Narita Airport in Tokyo, solidifying its presence in Asia.
In Latin America, new nonstop routes from Houston to Medellin in Colombia, and Newark to Dominica will also begin later this season.

“This winter, we are offering more flights to more destinations to give customers the widest range of places to explore. Whether that is adventuring somewhere new overseas, unwinding with some sun or enjoying the best ski towns in the country, we are pleased to offer easy access to the top destinations for winter getaways,” says Patrick Quayle, United’s Senior Vice President of Global Network Planning and Alliances.
United says its growth in Africa includes the launch of its Marrakesh route, complementing its May 2025 service from Washington Dulles to Dakar in Senegal, along with expanded flights to Accra in Ghana, and Lagos in Nigeria.
In Europe, United is extending seasonal services to popular southern destinations like Greece, Spain, Italy and Portugal, offering more capacity than previous winter seasons.
United says it will dominate the US ski market this winter, offering triple the number of flights compared to other airlines. New weekend services to Bozeman in Montana, and Gunnison in Colorado, alongside expanded routes to destinations like Jackson Hole and Sun Valley, further solidify United’s leadership in ski travel.
The airline is also increasing services to warm-weather US destinations, particularly in Florida and Arizona, with more frequent flights to Phoenix, Palm Springs and San Diego.
