As it prepares to mark the centenary celebrations of the launch of one of the most iconic air routes in the world, Pan Am, that was one of the pioneers of aviation in United States, will offer a 12-day trip that recreates a route connecting New York with European cities.

One of the pioneers of civil aviation in the United States and the world, Pan Am airlines will recreate an iconic route for a 12-day trip that will take passengers from New York to a clutch of European cities.

According to a press statement, Pan Am, which holds the brand licence for the now defunct airline, has joined hands with partners for a privately chartered jet that will retrace the legendary Southern and Northern Transatlantic Routes, pioneered a century ago by Pan American World Airways.

The statement adds that the trip is supported by Pan American World Airways and the Pan Am Museum Foundation and is officially licenced by Pan Am brands.

It adds that the 12-day trip will begin in New York City on June 27, 2025 and is limited to 50 passengers. The route will cover stops in Bermuda, Lisbon, Marseille, London and Foynes in Ireland. The journey will be hosted by Craig Carter, CEO of Pan American World Airways and owner of Pan Am brands.

“Since 1927, Pan Am has left an indelible mark on the world. From humble beginnings as the first commercial carrier for the US Air Mail, Pan Am’s founder Juan T Trippe went on to create a vast aviation empire across the globe, literally bringing the world closer together one flight at a time. This journey, tracing both the original Pan Am Southern Transatlantic Route between New York and Marseilles and the Northern Transatlantic route between London and New York, has been painstakingly designed to honour the unmatched legacy of Pan Am in the most respectful way,” says Carter.

Incidentally, Pan Am’s founder Trippe was famously portrayed by Alec Baldwin in the Howard Hughes biopic, The Aviator.

“The notion that a commemorative Pan Am flight will celebrate all we stood for is a testament to the strength of the brand and what the airline and its people stood for. Pan Am’s legacy in world history and the airline’s pioneering achievements in aviation live on. I can’t wait to see the aircraft with Pan Am livery taking off from JFK,” says Linda Freire, Chair of the Pan Am Museum Foundation and a former Pan Am flight attendant.

The statement adds that the journey is now open for bookings. Customers will travel in a Boeing 757 aircraft configured with all Business Class seating. The price for the tour is USD 59,950 per person based on twin occupancy or USD 65,500 for single occupancy.
