Catering to a booming demand, Malaysia Airlines will deploy daily flights between Amritsar-Kuala Lumpur route from August 1, from current frequency of four times weekly.

Malaysia Airlines has announced that it will further boost its frequency on Amritsar-Kuala Lumpur route from four to seven-times weekly effective August 1. 

According to a press statement by the airline, there has been a noted “robust travel demand and positive load factor performance” on the Amritsar-Kuala Lumpur route.

The airline adds that it had previously doubled its frequency to Amritsar from two to four times weekly in January 2024; signifying the confidence of this booming market.

Notably, the enhancement of frequencies from Amritsar will bring the airline’s tally of weekly flights in India to 71. 

Launched in November 2023, Amritsar is one of three new India routes introduced in 2023 alongside Ahmedabad and Trivandrum. The airline had also recently increased frequencies on the Trivandrum route to four times weekly, the statement adds.

It says that Malaysia Airlines boasts an extensive India network, offering flights from nine major hubs, New Delhi, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Amritsar and Trivandrum. 

The airline says it offers seamless onward connections to Australia, New Zealand, Vietnam, and other key destinations in Asia Pacific and serves as the gateway to Asia and beyond for Indian travellers.

“With our extensive network, comfortable transit options, and delivery of our inimitable Malaysian Hospitality, we are confident about capturing the escalating travel demand from India,” Aresandiran adds.

Malaysia Airlines adds that to celebrate the increase in flight frequencies, it is offering special promotional fares for Indian travellers to explore Malaysia, starting from INR 15,099 all-in return which is available for sale from now until June 7 for travel until March 31, 2025.
