Lufthansa, the flag carrier of Germany, has announced that it is set to launch its upgraded First Class cabins, Allegris First Class, that it says will set new standards in luxurious air travel.

In a press statement, Lufthansa says that this new First Class will include two individual suites and the suite plus, a spacious double cabin that offers travellers a comfortable double bed for couples or an exclusive private experience for solo passengers.

It also adds that each suite features nearly one-metre-wide seats with customisable temperature control, ceiling-high walls, lockable doors, and expansive storage space, including a personal wardrobe.

Further, it also says that passengers can also enjoy a massive 43-inch (97 cm) screen and wireless over-ear headphones, alongside customisable lighting to create a personalised atmosphere.

“We are completely reinventing the Lufthansa First Class travel experience with Allegris and making it even more exclusive,” says Jens Ritter, Chief Executive Officer, Lufthansa Airlines.

As per press statement, Lufthansa also plans to focus on enhancing the ground experience for First Class passengers, as the new check-in areas and renovated lounges in Munich and Frankfurt, to provide an exclusive and seamless experience.

Additionally, Lufthansa says it is also improving services across all classes, by offering unlimited free messaging on intercontinental flights starting this summer, alongside an innovative baggage tracking system using Apple AirTag technology.

According to the statement travellers will also get to experience the new cabin product in economy, premium economy, and Business Class on flights to New York-Newark starting in mid-April, and to Charlotte in North Carolina beginning in early August.

It also states that for Business Class passengers, Lufthansa has launched a new catering concept that offers a broader range of hot and cold dishes, alongside revamped menus. The airline is also undergoing a major renovation of its lounges, with over 30 lounges set to be redesigned, starting with Newark-New York and London Heathrow.

Meanwhile according to press statement, under the airline’s Future Onboard Experience initiative, it aims to bring more improvements across all classes, from upgraded culinary offerings to enhanced onboard service, with the full rollout expected in time for Lufthansa’s 100th anniversary next year.

“Our new first class, with its unique suites, defines the concept of privacy like never before and is unrivalled worldwide. We are also investing in exclusivity and comfort on the ground by completely redesigning our First Class check-in areas and lounges in Munich and Frankfurt,” adds Ritter.
