In a strategic move to drive digital transformation in the aviation industry, Infosys, a global IT services company, has announced a long-term collaboration with German aviation firms Lufthansa Group and Lufthansa Systems, focusing on AI-driven solutions, software development, and enhancing customer experience across the industry.

According to a press statement, the partnership aims to accelerate innovation by leveraging next-generation digital services, with a focus on enhancing software development, AI-driven solutions, and sustainable aviation IT products to improve efficiency and customer experience across the sector.

It adds that this collaboration includes the establishment of a new Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru, India, designed to enhance software and product development for LHG and support LSY’s airline IT products for external customers.

According to the statement, the new centre will focus on developing future-ready aviation IT products and data-driven solutions using Infosys Topaz, an AI-first platform powered by generative AI technologies.

The statement adds that these innovations are expected to improve aviation safety, operational efficiency, customer experience and competitiveness for LHG and LSY customers, particularly in navigating volatile market conditions.

It adds that by leveraging modern technologies and AI, the GCC will play a key role in accelerating Lufthansa Group’s digital transformation.

It further adds that it will work on enhancing existing solutions across several areas, including finance, flight navigation, network and schedule design and aircraft and crew operations.
