In a significant move to enhance connectivity, low-cost airline IndiGo, has announced a new direct flight service between Hyderabad and Madinah, starting February 20 offering more travel options for pilgrims and visitors.
In a press statement, IndiGo says the new route will offer more travel options for pilgrims and other visitors, expanding IndiGo’s international network and strengthening ties with Saudi Arabia.

The statement adds that this development reflects IndiGo’s growing presence in the international market, with the airline focusing on connecting key destinations that cater to both religious and commercial travel.
IndiGo says that it operates over 190 daily departures, connecting 65 domestic and 15 international destinations from Hyderabad.
“The launch of the Hyderabad-Madinah route is more than just expanding our network, it opens a vital gateway for religious and cultural exchange. By commencing direct flights to Madinah, a major Islamic pilgrimage site, we aim to simplify travel within the region and beyond. With the launch of this flight, IndiGo will now operate over 100 weekly flights to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia from India,” says Vinay Malhotra, Head of Global Sales, IndiGo.
