The inaugural flight took off from Mumbai to Fujairah on May 15
IndiGo, the largest Indian airline, has announced the commencement of daily direct flights linking Mumbai and Kannur to Fujairah, marking the Emirate in the United Arab Emirates its 41st international destination of and strengthening its footprint in the Gulf country.
In a press statement, IndiGo says that the inaugural flight took off from Mumbai to Fujairah on May 15, with daily services on both routes to begin later today. Similarly, while the service from Kannur began on May 15, the return sector service from Thursday.
The statement adds that this expansion makes Fujairah fifth direct destination of IndiGo in the UAE, joining Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.
