In a refreshing change for a predominantly male-oriented industry, Jazeera Airways operated the first flight with an all-female deck and cabin crew to commemorate International Women’s Day 2023.

To mark International Women’s Day 2023, Jazeera Airways, Kuwaiti low-cost airline, operated its first flight with an all-female deck and cabin crew of eight-members including the pilot and co-pilot. According to a press statement, the A320neo carrying 172 passengers flew from Kuwait to Riyadh, setting a significant example of motivating diversity, gender parity and women’s empowerment in a predominantly male-oriented industry. This milestone by Jazeera Airways also highlights the #EmbraceEquity motto of International Women’s Day this year, the airline adds in its statement.

ope. Jazeera Airways also highlighted their mission to promote diversity, inclusivity, and gender balance among its roughly 1,200 employees, who represent 68 different nationalities. The airline reinstated its commitment to the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) 25by2025 project, which aims to shift the gender balance in the aviation sector, officials added.
