Services would operate on its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft: Etihad
As part of its European network expansion, Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways has introduced new flight services to two Central European destinations, Prague and Warsaw.
In a press statement, Etihad Airways says that it operated its first flight to Prague on June 2, which was followed by the inaugural service to Warsaw on June 3. Both routes will be served four times a week.
It adds that the services would operate on its Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, which includes 28 Business Studios and 262 Economy Smart seats. Additionally, it also highlighted that Business Studios convert into fully flat beds with direct aisle access, while the economy cabin includes upgraded comfort features and access to in-flight entertainment.
As per statement, Etihad says that the new routes aim to support tourism and trade, linking the UAE with Czechia and Poland. The airline also expects inbound tourism from Central Europe to the UAE to benefit from the expanded network. Travellers arriving in Abu Dhabi can access destinations such as Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Louvre Abu Dhabi, desert experiences, Yas Marina Circuit and other attractions.
The UAE airline says that Prague and Warsaw are among 16 new destinations being introduced by the airline this year. Other destinations will include Atlanta, Taipei, and additional cities across Asia such as Hong Kong, Hanoi, and Krabi later in the year.
According to the statement, Etihad says that earlier to mark the expansion, it has launched a competition titled The Extraordinary Challenge. Under this initiative, Etihad Guest members are invited to travel to all 15 of the airline’s new destinations for a chance to win up to 5 million guest miles.
