Etihad Airways has expanded its network to 73 destinations, up from 69 in February

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, reported 1.6 million passengers in February, reflecting a 14 pc year-on-year growth.

Passenger traffic on Etihad Airways rose to 1.6 million in February for Etihad Airways, a 14 pc year-on-year rise from 1.4 million in the same period last year.

In a press statement, Etihad says that its continued growth reflects strong demand and expanded connectivity across key markets, reinforcing its position in global aviation.

It says that it maintained a strong passenger load factor of 89 pc and carried 3.3 million passengers year-to-date in 2025, an increase from 2.9 million during the same period last year.

The airline adds that with an expanding fleet and network, it continues its growth trajectory, preparing to launch 14 new routes in 2025 while also recording an increase in customer satisfaction.

The statement adds that the airline has expanded its network to 73 destinations, up from 69 in February. Its operating fleet grew to 98 aircraft, marking an increase from 89 last year.

It adds that Etihad also reported an increase in customer satisfaction ratings, continuing its upward trend in passenger approval.

“Our passenger numbers in February saw a strong 14 pc growth compared to the same period last year, as we continue to be among the world’s fastest-growing airlines. As our capacity continues to grow, it is pleasing to see we maintained our robust passenger load factor of 89 pc year-to-date, as we prepare for a busy 2025 with the launch of 14 new routes,” says Antonoaldo Neves, CEO, Etihad Airways.

“Underpinning our continued expansion is the growth in our operating fleet, and we are close to reaching three figures, with more deliveries expected throughout 2025, I am also delighted to report continued growth in guest approval, with February setting another new record for customer satisfaction,” Neves adds.
