Etihad Airways, the national airline of the UAE, has landed its A380 in Mumbai on Sunday evening, signalling the start of its celebrations marking 20 years of flying to India.
According to the airline, it is operating its superjumbo between Mumbai and Abu Dhabi for a limited time only, with three flights per week until December 31.
It says that Etihad flight EY0204 will operate every Thursday, Saturday and Sunday till October 26, taking off from Zayed International Airport (AUH) in Abu Dhabi at 14:35 to reach Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (BOM) in Mumbai at 19:25 the same day. On the return leg, flight EY0203 departs from BOM at 22:50 to arrive in AUH at 00:35 the next day.
The statement adds that flight EY0204 will start on October 27 and operate till December 31 on the same days to depart from AUH at 14:55 and arrive in BOM at 19:35. The return flight EY0205 leaves from BOM at 22:40 to land in AUH at 00:40 the next day.
