New routes are part of a broader effort to enhance its connectivity across Europe and the Arabian Peninsula: Etihad
To expand its global network ahead of summer 2026, Abu Dhabi-based Etihad Airways has announced two new seasonal destinations, Kraków in Poland and Salalah in Oman. The Kraków route will mark Etihad’s second destination in Poland, following the introduction of services to Warsaw in 2024.
In a press statement, Etihad says that the new routes are part of a broader effort to enhance its connectivity across Europe and the Arabian Peninsula. With these additions, the airline’s network will cover more than 90 destinations worldwide. The seasonal services are scheduled to coincide with peak summer demand and are aimed at leisure travellers.
It adds that flights to Krakow will begin on June 16, 2026. The Kraków service will operate three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays until September 5 next year, using an Airbus A321LR. The outbound flight will depart from Abu Dhabi at 02:40 and arrive in Krakow at 07:15. The return flight will leave Krakow at 11:05 and reach Abu Dhabi at 19:00.
Etihad says that the Salalah service will launch on May 21. Additionally, between May 21 and June 15, flights will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Sundays. From June 15 to September 15, the service will run daily. Operated by an Airbus A320, the flight from Abu Dhabi will depart at 08:30 and arrive in Salalah at 10:10. The return leg will leave Salalah at 11:05 and land in Abu Dhabi at 12:50, all times local.
The airline says that Kraków offers access to historic sites, including the medieval Main Square and Wawel Castle, and serves as a gateway to the Tatra Mountains. Salalah, known for its cooler climate and green scenery during the Khareef season, attracts travellers seeking nature-based experiences.
Etihad says that the new services will provide more travel options while supporting inbound tourism to the UAE through Zayed International Airport.
Antonoaldo Neves
“Krakow and Salalah each bring something special to our network – from UNESCO-listed heritage in Poland to refreshing green landscapes in Oman during the Khareef season. As we continue to grow Etihad’s footprint globally, our focus remains simple: to directly link Abu Dhabi with places people want to visit, and warmly welcome more visitors to experience our beautiful home and the UAE’s capital. We’ve already celebrated inaugural flights to several new destinations this year and continue to add routes that matter to our guests,” says Antonoaldo Neves, Chief Executive Officer, Etihad Airways.
