It now operates a fleet of 98 aircraft: Etihad Airways
Maintaining its positive performance, Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), says that in March, it registered a growth in the number of passengers and that it possesses a bigger network as well.
In a press statement, Etihad Airways says that the growth in traffic aligns with its continued fleet expansion. The airline reports that it now operates a fleet of 98 aircraft, up from 89 in March 2024. Additionally, it now serves 73 passenger destinations, up from 69 in the previous year.
It adds that due to its ongoing operational and service-related adjustments, the airline recorded its highest customer satisfaction scores this month.
Etihad Airways says that to support wider route coverage, it carried 1.6 million passengers this month, reflecting a 14 pc growth. The airline also recorded a passenger load factor of 87 pc for the first quarter, a marginal increase from 86 pc in the same period in 2024.
As per a press statement, the airline states that around 5 million passengers have travelled this year, compared to 4.3 million in the same period in 2024.
“Our passenger numbers saw further strong growth and across the 12 months to the end of March 2025, we have welcomed almost 20 million passengers. In the past month alone, we have announced two new routes and increased flight frequencies, bringing the total number of new destinations scheduled for 2025 to 16. I am very pleased to report we recorded our highest ever customer satisfaction scores in March, reflecting our continued commitment to delivering an exceptional travel experience,” says Antonoaldo Neves, CEO, Etihad Airways.
