Dubai is Drukair's first destination in the GCC region
Drukair, the national airline of Bhutan, is launching twice-weekly direct flights from Paro International Airport in Bhutan to Dubai, starting on October 28. In a press statement, the national carrier says that as a major global hub, Dubai opens up broad travel options from the United Arab Emirates and beyond for business, leisure, or cultural exchanges.
“Launching services to Dubai is a proud moment for Drukair. It reflects our expanding international presence and our dedication to connecting Bhutan to the world,” says Tandi Wangchuk, CEO, Drukair.
The statement adds that these Dubai flights are expected to give Bhutan tourism a major boost as well as providing convenient travel options for Bhutanese residents and expats in the United Arab Emirates and neighbouring regions.
National flag carrier Drukair currently operates scheduled flights to nine international destinations within the South Asian region and three domestic destinations from Paro International Airport.
