Cambodia Angkor Air will enhance its domestic services and strengthen links across South-East Asia with new aircraft

ATR, a European manufacturer of regional aircraft, has announced that Cambodia Angkor Air, which will be rebranded as Air Cambodia in 2025, has ordered three ATR 72-600 aircraft to expand its fleet.

Cambodia’s national carrier Cambodia Angkor Air, that will be rebranded Air Cambodia in 2025, has placed an order for three ATR72-600 aircraft to boost its regional fleet.

In a press statement, ATR, a European manufacturer of regional aircraft announced the addition of these three ATR 72-600 aircraft, purchased by HNCA Aviation Financial Leasing (HNCAL), a prominent Chinese lessor and subsidiary of Henan Civil Aviation Development & Investment Group, have been leased to Cambodia Angkor Air, and support the airline’s strategy to bolster both domestic and regional routes in Cambodia. The deliveries for the aircraft are scheduled in 2025.

The agreement aims to reinforce Cambodia Angkor Air’s commitment to expanding its fleet, highlights the ATR 72-600’s role in connecting key tourism destinations and improving transport infrastructure within Cambodia and strengthens Sino-Cambodian aviation ties.

The statement adds that the fleet expansion aligns with the Cambodian government’s plans to develop additional airports and promote regional air connectivity and domestic traffic, through high-demand routes which are also key priorities for both ATR and Cambodia Angkor Air.
