To celebrate the 60th anniversary of sister city partnership between Japanese city Yokohama and capital of Maharashtra Mumbai, Japanese airline ANA has launched a series of initiatives focussed on passengers.

In a press statement, ANA says it will commemorate the milestone of the partnership that was formalised on June 26, 1965, throughout June 2025 on its Narita–Mumbai (NH829) and Mumbai–Narita (NH830) flights. These activities include the distribution of commemorative stickers and leaflets at Mumbai International Airport featuring details of a lucky draw linked to the anniversary.

It adds that the leaflet will include a QR code that passengers can scan to enter the draw. The prizes include hotel stays at Hotel Associa Shin-Yokohama and the Yokohama Bay Hotel Tokyo, ANA aircraft models, tickets to Yokohama Zoo and Sankeien Garden, and merchandise such as coasters, bandanas and ANA-branded tote bags.

ANA says that from June 1-30, its check-in counters at Mumbai International Airport are featuring the official 60th-anniversary logo. In addition, a special announcement will be made on June 27 on both flights, marking the official day of the sister city agreement.

The Japanese airline says that this initiative reflects its intent to acknowledge the historical links between Japan and India through the cities of Yokohama and Mumbai, and its ongoing role in supporting air connectivity between the two regions.
