Air India has announced it will start daily, non-stop services between Bengaluru and London Heathrow from October 27, thus connecting London Heathrow to all three hubs of Air India in India. In a press statement, Air India says that the new flights will replace Air India’s currently served Bengaluru-London Gatwick route and increase the frequency between Bengaluru and London from 5x weekly to 7x weekly.

The non-stop service, to be operated using a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft with 18 flat beds in Business class and 238 seats in Economy, will add capacity to London Heathrow by 3,584 seats a week, inbound and outbound. Air India currently operates 31 weekly flights to London Heathrow from Delhi and Mumbai.

The airline adds that AI133 will depart from Bengaluru daily at 14:20, reaching London Heathrow at 1930 the same day. On the return leg, flight AI 132 will depart from London Heathrow at 21:05 every day and reach Bengaluru at 12:20 the next day. It adds that bookings for the flights are open on all channels, including Air India’s official website, mobile app, and authorised travel agents and partners.

Air India says it will continue to operate 12 weekly flights to London Gatwick from four Indian cities, namely Ahmedabad, Amritsar, Goa and Kochi.
