As the New Year approaches, Air India, the second largest carrier in the country, is gearing up for significant updates to its international network in 2025. The airline will introduce retrofitted A320neo aircraft on all Delhi-Bangkok flights, while enhancing cabin interiors on key routes to Frankfurt and Singapore from Delhi and Mumbai.
In a press statement, Air India says it will deploy A320neo on all Delhi-Bangkok flights from January 16, 2025, featuring fully refreshed interiors across Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class.
It adds that airline will also deploy its best aircraft to key Southeast Asian and European destinations, alongside the earlier introduction of upgraded cabin interiors on its A350 and B777 aircraft for the routes to the United States and the United Kingdom.
Air India says that Vista Stream, Air India’s complimentary wireless inflight entertainment service, will be available on these aircraft, offering over 1600 hours of content on passengers’ personal devices.
It adds that these enhancements aim to provide travellers with a superior flying experience, offering improved comfort, connectivity, and flexibility on popular international routes.
The statement adds that Air India will deploy former Vistara A321neo and B787-9 aircraft on several routes starting January 1, 2025. These include Delhi-Frankfurt and Mumbai-Frankfurt on B787-9, Delhi-Singapore once daily on B787-9 and twice daily on A321neo, and Mumbai-Singapore twice daily on A321neo.
It adds that from January 1, 2025, Air India will operate a fourth daily Delhi-Bangkok service, offering evenly spaced departures. The increased frequency connects Bangkok to several North American and European cities via Delhi, providing seamless one-stop flights.
It further adds that the updates will optimise flight schedules on key international routes, offering greater flexibility and enabling seamless travel between North America or Europe and Australia or Southeast Asia via Air India’s Delhi and Mumbai hubs.
