Air India has appointed Airline Rep Services, a division of the Controlled Visual Flight Rules, (CVFR) Travel Group, as its General Sales Agent (GSA) for passenger services in New Zealand and Fiji in order to broaden its market in the Australasian region.

In a strategic move to enhance its global footprint, Tata Group carrier Air India has appointed Airline Rep Services (ARS), a division of the Controlled Visual Flight Rules, (CVFR) Travel Group, as its General Sales Agent (GSA) for passenger services in New Zealand and Fiji, expanding its global reach.

In a press statement, Air India says that the collaboration will boost passenger traffic to and from Australia, Singapore, and other destinations.

It adds that ARS will handle reservations, ticketing, marketing, and provide comprehensive sales support, ensuring personalised service for travel agents and customers.

Air India says that its expanding fleet, services, and focus on a quality flying experience align with Airline Rep Services’ commitment to excellence

It adds that together with Airline Rep Services, Air India aims to meet the rising demand for travel to and from India and enhance global connectivity.

The statement adds that, following privatisation, Air India is making significant changes and has started receiving deliveries from its order of 470 aircraft from Airbus and Boeing, including A350 and A320 models.
