Air Astana is also expanding its network of services to Saudi Arabia, with flights from Almaty to Medina twice a week in addition to existing twice a week services to Jeddah
Kazakh national airline Air Astana says that it is adding a number of new international services to the Asia-Pacific region, the Middle East and Central Asia in the current winter schedule.
In a press statement, the airline revealed details of the new schedule and its new international services include the launch of nonstop flights between Atyrau and Dubai, operating twice a week, as well as the increase in the number of flights from Almaty to Dubai to 11 times a week and from Astana to Dubai to nine times a week.
In addition, Air Astana says it will start operating services from Astana to Abu Dhabi twice a week, as well as from Almaty to Abu Dhabi twice a week starting in December.
Air Astana says it is also expanding its network of services to Saudi Arabia, with flights from Almaty to Medina twice a week in addition to existing twice a week services to Jeddah.
Meanwhile, a new once a week service from Shyment to Jeddah is already being operated, with a further weekly service from Shymkent to Medina to be added later in the season.
In Asia, Air Astana has announced a new service from Astana to Phuket that will be operated three times a week, complementing the current 11 weekly flights from Almaty to Phuket, as well as daily flights from Almaty to Bangkok.
The airline says that also being introduced in the current schedule is a service from Almaty to Phu Quoc in Vietnam, with five frequencies a week. Air Astana has also resumed seasonal flights to the Maldives, with services up to five times a week.
In the China market, Air Astana will resume flights from Astana to Urumqi twice a week, and will continue operating flights from Almaty to Urumqi four times a week, as well as from Almaty to Beijing five-weekly, and from Astana to Beijing twice-weekly.
In the Korean market, the Kazakh flag carrier will increase the number of flights between Astana and Seoul to three times a week, complementing the existing five weekly flights from Almaty to Seoul.
