Vietjet launches 2 new routes in Asia

Vietjet says that its route between Hanoi and Jakarta will operate four return flights a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sunday

Continuing its regional expansion, Vietnamese carrier Vietjet Air has launched two new routes connecting Hanoi with Jakarta and Phu Quoc with Busan in South Korea.

As part of its expansion drive, two new routes have been launched by Vietnamese airline, Vietjet Air. According to the airline, it has inaugurated a service linking Vietnamese capital Hanoi with Jakarta, capital of Indonesia and another service from the resort town of Phu Quoc to Busan in South Korea.

Vietjet says that its route between Hanoi and Jakarta will operate four return flights a week on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with a flight time of just over four hours each way. The other route, Phu Quoc–Busan, has a daily service, taking 5 hours and 30 minutes.

The Hanoi-Jakarta flights leave the Vietnamese capital at 08:40, arriving in Jakarta at 13:00. On the return leg, they leave at 14:00 and reach Hanoi at 18:15.

The late-night service on Phu Quoc-Busan sector takes off at 23:40, arriving in South Korea at 06:30 the following morning. On the return, the flight departs at 07:35, landing in Phu Quoc at 11:05 the same day.

Vietjet says it will use Airbus A321 aircraft on both the routes. The airline currently has over 80 aircraft in service, with more than 350 new aircraft on order, including 200 Boeing 737 Max variants.
