Titled Cathay, the Hong Kong-based airline company launches a re-envisaged magazine that encapsulates Cathay’s evolution into a premium travel lifestyle brand. According to a statement by Cathay, the new magazine is set to feature sections dedicated to its home hub of Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area, as well as travel and holidays, wellness, dining and shopping.
“We know that our customers want and expect to be able to enjoy a travel lifestyle magazine when they fly with us, and we are delighted to reintroduce a refreshed publication that encapsulates everything we want to bring them, every day – inspiration, delight and discovery,” says Chief Customer and Commercial Officer Lavinia Lau.
The statement says that the inaugural edition is set to feature Reconnection as a central theme, with focus on reconnecting Hong Kong, the Greater Bay Area and the Chinese Mainland to the world. The stories try to capture the sense of connection through a wide range of approaches, with a series of inspiring travel covers of stunning aerial views of cities, each of which inspires more travel.
“Our purpose is to move people forward in life by connecting them to meaningful people, places and experiences. Through the content we share, we want Cathay to become a brand that people refer to on a daily basis, for inspiration and advice on the premium travel lifestyle,” adds Lavinia.
The statement adds that its readers can look forward to content across the magazine’s dedicated sections. Hong Kong & the GBA are set to showcase what is new and thrilling in the home market while Explore (Travel and Hotels) is a section dedicated to the joy of travel and the travel lifestyle, providing content exploring destinations across its route network that makes customers want to book a flight.
It adds that other than lifestyle sections such as Dining, Wellness and Shopping, the section of Cathay Way will be an insider’s look at Cathay’s fleet, its achievements, safety and hygiene, or the benefits of the Cathay membership programme and how members can maximise their earning and burning potential. Stories and content are extended online in Cathay’s Inspiration content hub, which delivers even more high-quality content on the premium travel lifestyle, says the statement.
